As you may know I blog for MYX TV, and in a couple weekends they’re holding the first ever Kpop dance convention in the U.S. You’ll be able to learn how to move by ABDC’s Season 5 Champions Poreotics and choreographers of your fave KPOP stars like 2NE1, JYP and Taeyang.
I’m giving away TWO of the classes for Saturday June 18th
1:30pm-2:45pm | Beginner’s hip hop class with Chad Mayate of Poreotics
4:00pm-4:15pm | “Better Together” – Se7en with Mari and Keone of Movement Lifestyle

1. I don’t care – 2ne1 (b/c its a cheeky, girl power song)2. I want to attend KPOP takeover b/c I love dancing! I do a little hip hop myself, but I’ve been out of it for a while and I would love to learn new things b/c I’ve been so stagnant in my dancing! This would be a great transition back into dancing! On top of that, Korea is not coming out with the some of the hottest music but also the hottest dance moves! I’m really excited that this is happening, even if I don’t win.- Lyia

1. Wedding Dress – Taeyang2. Always wanted to learn hip hop. I remember trying to learn a dance from a BoA video and failed miserably. Getting some outside help would be good! I also just want to attend and see what it is like!
1) “Look Only At Me” – Taeyang2) I love dancing! I’ve been to workshops before, and it is truly a fun experience learning from such talented artists. In going to K-Pop Takeover, I’ll finally have the chance to meet my favorite choreographers I’ve been a huge fan of all this time.
1) “You’re My” – Taeyang2) I love breakdancing, but I want to experience different styles of dance, so this would be a perfect opportunity!
1) “Can’t Nobody” -2NE1; It is my favorite song because music fuels my passion to succeed. This song really pumps me up before a class presentation, a midterm, a final, or even at the gym. I really admire 2NE1′s “can do” attitude. They inspire me to become a more confident woman
2)Kpop+dancing+new experiences. What is there not to be more excited about?! As an avid listener of kpop for the last 3 years, I have an active collector of kpop memorabilia: CDs, posters, magazines, etc. and am an active reader of allkpop.com and KoreanAm magazine. Furthermore, I have gone as far as to learn the dance moves to: Taeyang’s “I Need A Girl”, 2NE1′s “Fire”, and 2PM’s “Again & Again”, and Miss A’s “Bad Girl Good Girl”. KPOP Takeover would be the cherry on top to my kpop craze.
1) My favorite K-pop song would have to be “Rainism” by λΉ„ (Rain). The choreography is just amazing. It’s a fun song to dance to even though I haven’t had the time to learn the actual dance. The moves are so iconic and smooth. Anyone could agree that this is an amazing dance song.2) Attending K-Pop takeover would be most enjoyable. I love to dance. I’m not pro but I’m willing to learn it if given the opportunity. Plus enjoy listening to K-pop music and it’d be cool to learn some new moves that I haven’t already attempted with several K-pop songs.
