The Buzz

It was really nice having The Buzz start at an earlier time this year. Having it on the quad felt like it was a mini Picnic Day! Since I got out of class at 5 I hung around while everyone was setting up. The plus side to being there half an hour earlier meant no lines for booths that were ready – free hot dogs, nachos with deliciously melted cheese, brownies, cookies, and drinks galore. Starbucks and Papa Murphy’s handed out samples. Various organizations were armed with swag: Campus Rec with bags, Tandem Properties with Sprinkles cupcakes. For entertainment there were poker tables, inflatable games and live performances including The Cataracs! Even though long lines can form, the down time is great for catching up with friends you haven’t seen for a while and making new ones.

Glass blowing demo for the Craft Center There were also spinning, pottery demos + a place to mold your own clay! I use to volunteer at the Craft Center freshman year and it totally rocks.

My favorite part besides the free food was of course the photo booth. Roomie love!
